Welcome to the web world of Doug and Lori Kothe!

Doug grew up just outside of New York City on Long Island.  He attended Ithaca College and it was during his time there that he placed his faith in Jesus Christ and became very involved with Campus Crusade for Christ and Athletes in Action.  Upon graduation he joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ and served for the next eight and a half years with their Athletes in Action ministry.  It was while working with athletes in Houston, Texas that Doug met Lori, who at the time was working with Campus Crusade’s campus ministry in Houston. 

Lori spent her early years in Northern California, and later grew up in Houston, Texas.  During High School she had a friend invite her to her church youth group, where she placed her faith in Jesus Christ.   She attended the University of Houston and upon completion joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, serving in their campus ministry.

After getting married and serving together for a year with Athletes in Action, they then switched to the Life Builders ministry where they focused on reaching out to and discipling married couples.  Following two and a half years with Life Builders they left Campus Crusade for Christ to attend seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary.

During their four and a half years in St. Louis they both served as interns at Crossroads Presbyterian Fellowship, while both completed an MDiv.  It was during their time at Covenant Seminary that they sensed God calling them into church planting.

Currently they are looking into various church planting opportunities.
